Tony grew up in the middle of St. Paul's Westside, a neighborhood rich in Hispanic cultures. His Puerto Rican and Mexican heritage shaped his driving rhythmic style that makes everyone want to get up and move. He has played for Grammy award-winning Tejano artist Flanco Jimenez and the notable local soul band Downright Tight.
